The Weber Family Q Half Hotplate 3000N Series is Weber Australia’s current Family Q® (G3) Half Hotplate for Q3100N+, Q3200N+ and Q3600N+ gas barbecues. It replaces one section of the grill with a flat plate so you can barbecue and fry simultaneously on the larger Family Q cooking surface.
The porcelain-enamelled cast-iron construction helps hold even edge-to-edge heat and reduces sticking. It is particularly useful for eggs, smashed burgers, pancakes, fried onions and other foods that are easier to cook on a solid hotplate.
Weber confirms that the G3 half hotplate is not suitable for Q3000, Q3200 or Q300 series barbecues, which use the earlier 6506 plate. The current hotplate is supplied as one piece and should be hand washed with soapy water.
