Collection: Indoor Heating

Compare indoor heating across wood, gas and electric fireplaces. The Alfresco range includes freestanding and inbuilt wood heaters, gas inserts and zero-clearance fireplaces, and linear or suite-style electric fires from brands such as Lopi, Coonara, Morso, Metters, Kalora, British Fires and Real Flame. Start with the fuel and installation style that suits the home, then compare heating-area guidance, clearances, flue or electrical requirements and the amount of day-to-day operation you prefer.

Indoor heating at Alfresco Outdoors & Heating covers three distinct fireplace categories: wood, gas and electric. Each has a different installation process and ownership experience, so this range is best used as a decision hub before moving into the fuel-specific ranges.

Wood heaters provide a real solid-fuel fire and are available in both freestanding and inbuilt formats. Current brands include Lopi, Coonara, Morso, Metters and Kalora alongside other specialist wood-heater ranges. Wood heating requires suitable fuel storage, an approved hearth and flue system, and regular ash and firebox maintenance. Customers should compare heating-area guidance and clearances against the actual home rather than selecting only by appearance.

Gas fireplaces provide quicker start-up and more direct control. Lopi offers gas inserts and zero-clearance fireplaces, while Coonara is represented by freestanding and inbuilt gas heaters such as Hermitage, Barossa, Clear View and Mossman. Real Flame and selected Kalora products provide additional gas-fireplace choices. Gas type and flue configuration must be confirmed for the specific model and installation.

Electric fireplaces are represented by British Fires, Kalora and Real Flame. They range from complete electric suites to wide linear fires suited to feature walls and media-wall applications. Once you know which fuel suits the project, move into Wood Heating, Gas Heating or Electric Heating for a more focused model comparison. It is also worth deciding early whether the fireplace is mainly expected to heat the room, act as a visual feature, or perform both roles, because that can change the most suitable fuel and format.
