Dome (Gen 2) Door
Description
Description
The Dome (Gen 2) Door helps retain heat, smoke and steam inside the standard Gozney Dome (Gen 2), expanding the oven into a more versatile cooking system for baking, hot-smoking and slow-roasting.
Designed exclusively for the Dome (Gen 2), the door features a twin-wall insulated construction that helps reduce heat loss through the oven opening. This creates a more enclosed cooking environment suited to artisan bread, slow-roasted meats, whole poultry, cast-iron dishes and other recipes requiring longer cooking times.
The main body is constructed from ceramic-coated 304-grade stainless steel, providing durable performance around demanding outdoor cooking temperatures. Integrated meat-probe cut-outs allow compatible Dome Gen 2 probes to pass through the door, making it possible to monitor internal food temperatures while helping retain heat inside the oven.
A natural acacia wood handle provides a defined gripping point for careful installation and removal. Suitable heat-resistant gloves should always be worn when handling the door around a heated oven.
For safe operation, the door must never be fitted while the gas burner is lit. When cooking with wood or charcoal, use the door with an established ember bed rather than an active live flame. Always follow Gozney's operating instructions when using the door.
