Weber kettle BBQs share the familiar porcelain-enamelled bowl and lid, but the collection covers very different sizes and levels of equipment. Alfresco Outdoors & Heating's range supports a nine-product kettle group built around Original and Compact Kettles, Master-Touch, Performer and the 93cm Ranch Kettle.
The 47cm and 57cm Original Kettle formats are the straightforward starting point for direct grilling and covered roasting. Moving to an Original Kettle Premium or a more highly equipped model can add convenience around ash collection, lid handling and day-to-day cleanup. A Compact Kettle keeps the classic format in a simpler specification where price and footprint matter more than added equipment.
Master-Touch expands the 57cm platform with the Gourmet BBQ System cooking grill and more control for smoking and roasting. Weber's Master-Touch Plus adds a charcoal ring and diffuser plate to create more efficient low-and-slow conditions, making it a better fit for customers who want one kettle to grill, roast and smoke.
Performer models retain the 57cm kettle but integrate it into a worktable-style frame, adding preparation and storage space around the barbecue. The Ranch Kettle is a different proposition: its 93cm cooking diameter is intended for very large gatherings and requires considerably more floor space and charcoal.
Choose the diameter around the quantity normally cooked, then decide whether low-and-slow equipment or integrated workspace will genuinely be used. Customers who prioritise portability should compare Smokey Joe, Jumbo Joe or Go-Anywhere in the broader charcoal collection, while dedicated smoking is better served by a Smokey Mountain Cooker.
