Arrow wood heaters in the current Alfresco collection cover four models: the 1800 and 2400 freestanding heaters, plus the 1600 and 2000 inbuilt heaters. This gives customers a clear choice between a standalone appliance with visible sides and an insert intended for a suitable fireplace or approved enclosure.

Arrow positions its heaters around heavy-duty construction and traditional wood-fire styling. Its official 2400 specifications list capacity up to 35 squares, average efficiency of 67%, average peak output of 16.5kW and particulate emissions of 1.1g/kg. These figures apply to the 2400 and should not be transferred to the smaller 1800 or the inbuilt models without checking their own documentation.

Freestanding heaters can create a strong focal point and distribute radiant heat from more surfaces, but they require an approved hearth, compliant clearances and a correctly designed flue. Inbuilt models can make use of a suitable masonry opening or approved enclosure, but the existing cavity, surround and chimney still need professional assessment.

Select size through a heat-loss assessment that considers climate, insulation, ceiling height, glazing and how air moves through the home. Oversizing can lead to poor operating habits, while an undersized heater may not meet demand. Use dry, seasoned firewood and operate the heater according to the current manual.
