Dome Wood Rack

The Gozney Dome Wood Rack is a purpose-built accessory designed to improve airflow and fire management when cooking with wood in the original Gozney Dome. By raising the burning timber above the oven floor, it creates space underneath the fuel for air to circulate more freely, helping support a cleaner and more consistent fire.

Positioned correctly inside the Dome, the rack allows air entering through the ashtray vent to reach beneath and around the burning wood. This improved circulation can help the fire establish more efficiently, reduce unnecessary smouldering and encourage a stronger rolling flame across the upper chamber of the oven. Better fire movement can also support more even heat when cooking pizza, bread, meat, vegetables and other suitable wood-fired dishes.

Keeping the fuel elevated also helps create a more organised fire zone inside the oven. Wood, embers and ash remain more concentrated in one area, making the fire easier to manage throughout the cook and helping reduce loose debris spreading unnecessarily across the cooking floor. Fire performance will still depend on factors such as wood species, moisture content, fuel size and how the pieces are arranged.

The Dome Wood Rack is designed specifically for the original Gozney Dome and is not compatible with Dome Gen 2, Dome XL Gen 2 or other Gozney pizza oven models. Use dry, appropriately sized cooking wood and allow sufficient space between pieces for airflow. The rack will become extremely hot during operation and must not be touched or repositioned until the oven and fire have cooled completely. For original Dome owners who regularly cook with wood, it provides a simple way to improve airflow, fire control and overall live-fire cooking organisation.
