Dome Ashtray

The Gozney Dome Ashtray is a genuine replacement component designed to collect ash and small fire debris beneath the wood-burning area of the original Gozney Dome. During live-fire cooking, ash and small embers naturally fall from the burning timber, and the removable tray provides a dedicated collection point to help keep this material more contained.

The ashtray also forms part of the original Dome's wood-burning airflow arrangement. Air entering through the adjustable vent helps supply oxygen beneath and around the fire, supporting the establishment and maintenance of an active flame. The correct airflow setting will depend on factors such as the type of wood being used, oven temperature and cooking method.

Once the oven and all remaining ash have cooled completely, the tray can be removed for easier cleaning and disposal of collected debris. This helps simplify maintenance compared with allowing ash to accumulate beneath the fire area. Some additional cleaning around the cooking chamber may still be required, and the ashtray should be emptied regularly to prevent excessive build-up around the airflow system.

The Gozney Dome Ashtray is intended specifically for the original Gozney Dome and should not be assumed compatible with Dome (Gen 2), Dome XL (Gen 2) or other Gozney oven models. It works alongside the separately available original Dome Wood Rack, which raises the wood above the oven floor so airflow can move beneath the fuel while ash falls towards the collection area.

This replacement component is suitable when the original ashtray has become damaged, misplaced or unsuitable for continued use. Always confirm your exact oven model before ordering and never remove, adjust or empty the ashtray while the oven, embers or internal components remain hot.
